Privacy policy

Your birth details are personal. We designed AstroMandap so that we never need to receive them.

Birth details and calculations

All charts, Panchang timings, muhurats and calendars are calculated in your own web browser. The birth details you enter — name, date, time and place — are never sent to our servers.

What is stored on your device

To save you retyping, some information is kept in your browser’s local storage on this device only:

• your saved birth details (for the calculators) and your chosen city (for Panchang, festivals and muhurat);
• your mantra-counter totals, recitation counts, puja checklists and daily-routine checklist;
• display preferences (chart style, text size) and, if shown, your cookie choice.

You can delete all of this at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings.

Place search

Place search uses a list of cities bundled with the site (from GeoNames, CC BY 4.0). What you type is matched inside your browser and is not sent to any search service.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

We currently use no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.

Hosting and fonts

The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes basic request data (such as IP address) to deliver pages and protect against attacks. Fonts are served from our own site; no third-party font service is used.

Children

This site is a general-audience resource and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

Because we do not hold your birth details, there is normally no personal data for us to give you or delete. For any privacy question or request — including under the GDPR, the UK GDPR or India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act — contact us at hello@astromandap.com.

Changes

We will update this page if our practices change, with a new “last updated” date.
