Vishakha Nakshatra
Vishakha is jointly ruled by Indra and Agni. It is described as a goal-oriented nakshatra associated with determination, ambition and eventual triumph.
Traditional themes
Vishakha is traditionally associated with ambition, focus, achievement. Its ruling planet, Jupiter, is also the lord of the first Vimshottari Dasha for anyone born with the Moon in Vishakha, who begins life in the Jupiter Mahadasha (16 years in full, of which only a balance remains at birth).
The Rakshasa gana places Vishakha among the rakshasa (intense, independent) temperaments used in nakshatra-based compatibility checks.
